I have seen many different teachers do many differnet things as well. It just depends on what you are using homework for. Are you just sending it home for practice? Is it being taken for a grade? Are you sending it home as a quick check up to see student understanding? I think homework helps teach responsibility. Also as they get older it is inevitable that they will have homework. I am currently working on a graduate course where we are writing lessons using the CCs. I found this resource to be very helpful and further explaining the CCs. The article gave great examples, steps, and tables that I have referred back to many times. This was an awesome resource for my purposed and would be great for all teachers in the middle school.
