Alondra Torres

HI everyone! I'm a you gal from East Texas. I am studying to be a teacher at the University of Texas at Tyler and I absolutely love it there! This is my last year in school, because if everything goes well, I will graduate December 2020. I Have recently reached one of my academic goals of being chosen to be a part of the Honor Society of UT Tyler. I am the only girl in my family and I love cats! Children are all just near and dear to my heart. I love how simple, optimistic, and imaginative kids can be. I hope to teach 1st or 2nd grade students. I just really enjoy the little ones so I might even consider teaching Kindergarten and Pre-K before I go to 5th or 6th grade. I have had an amazing time at UT Tyler student teaching at different grade levels to really get experience in different grade levels.

I would like to know about some great ways to have 2nd, 3rd, or 4th graders follow directions during hands on activities. I always seem to have the students' attention until I place manipulatives in front of them.
