Our physical science department is looking for good 2D motions simulation programs for students.  In the past, one of our fellow teachers used a program from Activ Physics from the old Netscape browser.  She claimed this was an amazing tool for students that is no longer available.  We looked at PHET, Physics classroom but we are not finding a program that students can manipulate that is engaging ...

Hello all, I am looking for a book recommendation for a 9 th grade physical science class.  I am not looking for a textbook; instead I am looking to add a small, daily reading component to my class that is entertaining yet informative in physical science concepts.  An example my colleague is using is Georges Secret Key to the Universe by Lucy and Stephen Hawking.  Any suggestions? Mr. D.
