What about if you constructed a closed system using clear plastic, where the sun shines on a pan of water which is viewed as condensation in the morning. This might be something to talk about. I haven't done it, but it seems reasonable for 6th graders to be able to design such a model.

5 Resources and Human Impact Essentials
It is an excellent review of the topic. The interactive activities make the abstract more concrete and understandable. I wonder about using them with my 5th grade students, if they are available I might attempt it.

5 Practices in NGSS and Common Core
This 90 minute web presentation was excellent because the presenter boiled down the practices to a perspective of students using supporting evidence which makes it a perfect place to begin. Thanks.
