I am a student at FIU and my major is Elementary Education. This is my senior year at FIU and I can say that it has been amazing. I have known I wanted to be a teacher since I was in high school. When I was in high school I was in the Early Childhood program and while working with the children I noticed that I liked helping them learn. When I graduated high school, I was able to get my CDA. Since then I have been working as an aftercare teacher at a day care, helping children do their homework. Soon I will be able to be a teacher in my own classroom.

I would say a fish, they are very easy to care for and there is no problem when leaving them alone for a long weekend. The tanks are pretty easy to clean and they are not expensive. If you want to go for a more active animal, I would say to talk to the parents first. In my science class in middle school we had many class pets. We had two beta fish, two guinea pigs, a hamster, and at one point a sp...

I am currently doing field experiences hours in a fifth grade classroom in which the students have a science notebook. The teacher has the notebook divided into two sections. The first section is the students class notes. What the teacher does is teach a lesson and then after she has taught the lesson the students can use their textbook to write their notes. The students though are to rephrase or ...

I love Pinterest, it really is an amazing way to find activities to do in any subject. Thanks to Pinterest I have been able to find different activities for my students to do in the classroom. Whether they are activities just to do for fun or activities so they can actually learn a concept. One activity I found through Pinterest with the worksheet and everything was "Is It Magnetic?" This activity...

It's always interesting to see how the ocean effects the world around us. It's even more interesting to see how the things around the ocean can effect it as well. This collection has great resources that a teacher can us to learn more about the topic, as well as to use in his/her class. The podcast teaches the viewer about the influence of the Atlantic Ocean on regional weather and climate. I like that the science object go along with each other and can be used to teach two lessons that go together. The journal article "Flooded," can be used to teach students about how other factors effect the ocean and its sea level. I feel that the collection that you put together was well thought out. All the resources go well together and seem to be able to be used to teach a unit lesson.

Your collection is amazing, I have always been interested on the topic of stars. This collection has great resources for any teacher to be able to teach a variety of topics that have to do with stars. One of the resources that interested me the most what the "Changing Constellation." This resource is one of my favorite form the whole collection, because it talks about how the seasons changing effect the constellations. I feel that the scipack would be a great resource not only for the teacher but for the students so that they can learn about the Earth, sun, and moon. Overall this collection is amazing!

Although I do not plan on teaching middle school, these resources are very interesting. I love how the person included a resource in which the teacher can find art activities that have to do with recycling. The book chapter resources are very interesting and I can tell they can be useful in a classroom. I really liked that they included a science object, because I feel it is an activity the teacher can do with the students. They will be learning while they do it as well.
