I think this is a fun activity that students would think is both silly and fun! My question is, are you just talking about the mouth and saliva or will you eventually get to the rest of the system? Thanks for sharing!

A really fun activity the kids I work with did at a nature center was a bat and prey activity. After the leader taught the students a bit about bats he set everyone up in a circle and selected two kids. One kid (the bat) had a blindfold on and a clicker to emulate echolocation and the pray could see and had a shaker. Wow this is super fun! I'm sure your students loved that! And thanks for the comment from Dupre, that would be another really fun activity. After they make casts of the fossils they could set up like a museum and show their peers what they found and made!

I've done this activity with kids at work and it is really tough and they had so much fun!

As a special education minor and pre service teacher, I really appreciate this article. Students are able to understand their peers with disabilities.

Personally, I think that science is a really important subject that all schools should be teaching their students. I think it is something that will benefit them later in life and help them understand the world around them.
