I have been in education for over 45 years, teaching in various capacities from grade five through high school. I'm currently a curriculum consultant at Butler County Educational Service Center in Hamilton, Ohio, focusing on science and pedagogy. Other experiences include working with the CEEMS program at the University of Cincinnati, assisting secondary math and science teachers in the development and implementation of PBL engineering units, and standards revision work with the Ohio Department of Education.

Check out the song "The Sick Note". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8uODpt79Ak Also know as "Why Paddy's Not at Work Today." You can Google the lyrics and give them to students. I've had students illustrate the stages of the song. They can do free body diagrams for each stage.
