I am a 5th grade teacher in the South Orangetown Central School District, in New York State. I've been a NOAA Climate Stewards Educator since 2012, and continue to appreciate the opportunities they provide. In 2011-12 I was a Fulbright Teacher working in Cape Town, South Africa - learning about this biodiversity hotspot, and working with local school children on environmental issues. I'm also an educational consultant, specializing in getting climate change taught in the classroom. I've spoken at many conferences across the U.S., and in several different countries. You can find a list of my speaking engagements and publications on LinkedIn. I am also a course instructor for University of San Diego. Currently, I'm offering a field trip for teachers (formal and informal educators, as well as teachers of teachers) to Iceland, which will take place July 11-19, 2018.
