So many great ideas! One thing that I love to do with younger kids is plant a little garden. Beans and flowers are usually grown pretty easily but a new one I want to try this year is carrots. They grow very easily and then they will be able to eat it. Exploring the world around you and providing lots of hands on activities , you can't go wrong with that!

A garden is a great opportunity for kids to learn where our food comes from, plant life, insects and even as creative inspiration for art or writing. Our school doesn't have a garden right now but I'm hopeful that eventually we will and the kids will be able to see the process the plant goes through to produce it's fruit.
