Keeping students motivated and involed I think is the most important key to having an effective classroom. First you can start with visuals in the beginning to get them motivated and wanting to learn more about whatever the lesson is about. Hands on activities are also a big way to keep them motivated because they are always busy.

There is a book called "Bartholomew and the Oobleck" it is a great way to start a lesson and the author is Dr. Seuss which every kid seems to know and love. You can do an experiment with them teaching them how somehting can be both a solid and a liquid at the same time. It is fun for the students and they are learning at the same time.

5 Sink of Float Collection
I really enjoyed your collection as it had many articles that can help either a teacher or student when working on a lesson with density. I like how one of the articles gets the students to explore and think about to sink or not to sink. It explains how the buoyant force a fluid exerts on an object depends on how much of the fluid the object replaces. It helps me with an experiment if I ever want to do one where I can get a styrofoam ball or some other object that floats easily and a glass of water and put an egg in it and watch it sink but then add salt and stir it until the salt dissolves and watch the egg float. The article of the many levels of inquiry help design and implement inquiry instruction with the students. It helps me and anyone else understand what inquiry is. I could really use your collection in the future and think you picked really good articles!
