Natalia Reynoso

Hello! I'm Natalia , Naty for short. I am on my third year as a Special Education Major. I work full time as an Academic Advisor at a Massage Therapy, Skin Care, and Makeup Artistry School. I love my job but working with children is where my passion lies. As the oldest sister of three, I have always loved taking care of them and being around them. They inspire me to be the best person I can be and a great role model. I hope to learn many different strategies from this class to be able to apply it in my future classroom one day.

Hi Harry, I would have things labeled in the students home language. Especially things of importance like the restroom pass or your homework station. Giving the student a schedule with the translation below each subject would be helpful for him or her to be aware of what is next to come. If you have a student who speaks the same language try to partner them up because this student will work as ...

Dont forget to always state the classroom rules before any hands on activity and hold students accountable for their actions. It is very helpful if you create a Classroom Contract where the students and their parents will have to sign off saying they have read, understood, and agreed your classroom rules. 5 Review of "Weathering/ Erosion" Collection
This collection begins with a scipack on the earth's changing surface which is a great way to introduce the collection. The scipack is an inquiry based content modules that helps teachers better understand the content they'll be teaching. The articles that follow it are target towards Elementary school which is perfect if the lesson is for an elementary class. The article called " Formative Assessment Probes: Is it Erosion or Weathering?" is a great article to help students know the difference between the two. My favorite article was "This Land is Your Land" because it combines this science content to real life scenarios which makes a bigger impact in my opinion than just learning what erosion is. Overall, a great collection!

5 Review of "The Water Cycle" Collection
I liked that the first resource this collection had was a webinar on the water cycle. It's a good way to introduce the theme of this collection. The majority of the articles were targeted towards elementary and two PDF Files included middle school which is good for middle school teachers wanting to do a quick review on the water cycle without making the content so simple. I also enjoyed the article about "Creative Writing and the Water Cycle" which focuses on how teachers can use creative writing exercises to assess the students understanding on the science content. It is an overall great collection!
