Jennifer Swanson

Science Rocks! And so, do Jennifer Swanson’s books. She is the award-winning author of over 45 nonfiction books for children, science teacher, and podcast host.  A self-professed science geek, Jennifer started a science club in her garage at the age of 7. Her love of science has followed her throughout her life as she earned a BS in Chemistry from the U.S. Naval Academy and an MSEd in K–8 Science Education from Walden University. As the creator and co-host of the Solve It! for Kids podcast, Jennifer Swanson and co-host Jed Doherty talk with real scientists and engineers to get the stories behind their jobs—and challenge kids to solve a problem related to each guest’s work. In less than a year, the podcast has been named “#1 of the To 10 Best Podcasts for Home Learning!” As an author, Jennifer's passion for science resonates in in all her books but especially her Astronaut-Aquanaut: How Space Science and Sea Science Interact and Save the Crash-test Dummies.
