My name is Sergio Lopez. I am originally from Guatemala in Central America. I am married and have five children ranging from a college student to a three-year-old son. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics at UCLA and completed my teaching credential at California State University Dominguez Hills. My passion for education comes from my father’s philosophy that education is the best gift that he could give to his children.
I work in the city of Champions, Inglewood California, where I have been a teacher for 15 years at the elementary level. I currently teach in a 5th grade multiple subjects setting. I have taught 4th to 6th grades and a short assignment in Kindergarten for 10 years. I also taught English as a second language at the Adult Education Department. I am authorized to teach math as a single subject as well.
