I am a kindergarten through 5th grade Science Lab Teacher. I teach 36 classes over a six day rotation. I strive to provide my students with opportunities to explore science concepts and apply knowledge in group situations. I want to improve the depth of my science knowledge.

I think that it is ok to refer to the air as a gas and actually important. I have too many students respond that what we put in our cars to make them run is a gas. This simple opportunity to use the word in context will really help,later on when teaching the states of matter.

I teach at the elementary level and see each class once every six days for 45 minutes. Because of this I really try to minimize distractions and maximize time on task.
