One art idea that i have seen incorporated with science is using food coloring to make rainbow toast. The students were learning about properties of matter and so the adding of color to the toast changed the color property and when they put the toast in the toaster it changed the texture from soft to rough. For one of our classes, we had to create a 5E lesson with a demonstration included in that lesson so I have attached that lesson on this post for anyone to use that is teaching 5th grade science!
