Chip Woods

Greetings! My name is Dallas "Chip" Woods, and I am excited to be on here. I am currently in my first year of graduate school at Tennessee Technological University, where I am seeking to get my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with initial licensure in Elementary Education. I've worked off and on with Zoo Knoxville while also doing photography on the side. My undergraduate degree was in Theatre Directing and Performance at Belmont University in Nashville, but I have spent the last couple of years working in Tanzania in the education world (training teachers in 17 villages and helping to establish an international academy in Dodoma). And after a recent visit back home to Tanzania, I'm excited that I will be moving back to Moshi, Tanzania in June 2021 though to start teaching at a brand new international academy, Kibo-Shanty Primary Academy. I'm looking forward to all of the great resources on this site and the ELED 6400 class.

Hey there!  I have been looking for a few other discrepant events for a 3rd grade class as well, and one that I found that I thought was really interesting is the Resurrection Plant (the Rose of Jericho, Selaginella lepidophylla).  I'm attaching a couple of the articles where I discovered it.  Hope this helps!  Have a fantastic week ahead!
