Oh my goodness! that is truly fascinating and beautiful. Funny what can come from a spur of the moment idea. I really like the bizarre shape picture. I really wish it snowed in Florida so my students can experience this. Who knows, maybe one day I will travel up north. If I do, I will try and remember to do this. Thanks for sharing!

same here!!! Science is just as important as math, reading, and writing. It is especially beneficiary we it becomes an interdisciplinary part of the curriculum. Most schools don't teach world geography anymore and if we don't teach subjects like that, our students will not be well rounded citizens equipped with the tools and knowledge to survive in the real world.
