You could have the students do an activity on their own. The activity will assess whatever skill you want them to know. For example: if you are teaching them about the water cycle, have the students create a diagram of the water cycle and define each part of the cycle. The students defining each part of the water cycle, shows you that they know what each part does.

https://mods.org/ - Museum of Discovery and Science is fun and engaging because it has an aquarium, 3D science movies in IMAX, interactive stations, and indoor playground for the kids. This museum will definitely help the students learn more about science because the whole museum is interactive and allows the students to be hands-on. The museum has a gift shop and subway for lunch.

Before starting a lesson, start with a set activity thats fun and interactive. The set activity will catch the students attention and engage them through the lesson. The set activity can be a game based off the lesson taught that day.

5 Amazing Scipack
This scipack is very helpful and through because it goes in depth and breaks down each topic. Each topic is broken up into four parts. I love that the pages are read to us and at a good pace. The quizzes in between the readings helps to make sure that we understood the topic. This scipack covers every topic needed in order to understand energy in the ecosystems.
