Zoe Evans

I am an Assistant Principal at Central Middle School in Carrollton, Georgia. Before becoming an assistant principal in 2012, I served as a middle grades science teacher for nineteen years in both Florida and Georgia. I am National Board Certified in Early Adolescent Science and a Georgia Master Teacher. I was the 2005 Georgia recipient of the Presidential Award of Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching and a member of the writing team for the Next Generation Science Education Standards. I'm an active member of the Georgia Science Teachers Association and currently President of the organization. Additionally, I am a member of the National Congress on Science Education planning committee and the NSTA Middle Level Education committee. I'm a native Georgian and I earned a bachelor’s degree in middle grades education, master’s degree in middle grades science, and specialist’s degree in middle grade science from the University of West Georgia.
