Thanks for the information. Our first quarter of school (starting Monday) involves comets, meteors, and asteroids, as well as space in general.

5 Keeley Does It Again!
Once again, Ms. Keeley has shown the power of using formative assessment probes to find students' misconceptions. As she points out, it is vital that many of these be corrected while in elementary school before the student moves into higher level science classes. Great quick read that includes a sample probe.

5 Beginning of Year Activity
This short article provides a great beginning of the year activity presented through short picture books. While the picture books are on a lower level, the concept is more complex. I love this density activity!
