Yow! So many great responses! Thank you very much to all that replied! I definitely have a lot of new things to try out this year, first on my list, JELLO CELLS! Such an incredible idea! The only thing is how to adjust it to make sure it conforms to the Health & Wellness program (so frustrating!). Anyways, I appreciate the responses, I'll let you know how the lessons turn out.

I have found that Science blocks are when the students with special needs really come alive. I believe the visual aids and hands on activities allow them much more opportunities to learn the material being presented to them in class. As a result, I try to incorporate a lot of language arts where I can during science experiments, as they are more receptive to the information. As a second year teach...
