5 Amazing Resources for STEM Success
This collection features a variety of resources promoting STEM activities for students of all elementary grades. STEM is definitely in the limelight especially as our country’s place in the world’s job market has been put in question. More and more jobs in the areas of engineering and technology are being given to qualified graduates from Asia and Europe. In our American classrooms, STEM needs to find a place along with reading and writing. This collection definitely gives you ideas on how to incorporate engineering and technology concepts within the existing science and math curriculum. Ideas include engineering challenges and activities that require teamwork, developing communication skills, collaboration with agencies such as NASA, and answering and finding solutions to real-world questions. In addition, understanding the design and construction process is explored as students brainstorm and work together to communicate and implement engineering ideas while learning math, science, and environmental concepts at school and at home.
