I love Science! I believe that children are naturally curious and that Science is the perfect way to engage them in rigorous and meaningful learning. I am currently a STEM Coordinator for Momilani Elementary School. In my capacity as a coordinator, I also run an after-school grant supported STEM program. My state-supported initiatives include my role as the Project Coordinator for the Mauna Kea Scholars Program. This program enables high school juniors and seniors to conduct research and submit proposals just like real astronomers do to compete for telescope observing time. I am also part of a team of four teachers who provide professional development in Science and STEM that is integrated with the Wonders Reading Program to teachers statewide. Finally, I am an NGSS Curator and Online Learning Center Advisor for the NSTA.
