What is ExploraVision and How Can I Use It?
All web seminar participants use online tools that allow them to mark-up presenter's slides or share desktop applications in addition to engaging in chat with others online and answering poll questions

This Web Seminar took place on September 21, 2011, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Presenting was Leif Segan, math and science teacher from Ames, IA and Brian Short from NSTA. The presenters gave an overview of the ExploraVision competition, talked about how to enter, and provided some tips and guidelines for a successful beginning.

The PowerPoint, related resources from the NSTA Learning Center, and web links from the presentation are now contained in the above resource collection. Clicking on the collection link will place it in your Learning Center, My Library, neatly organized under the My Resource Collections tab.

The presenters provided information about the basic elements of the ExploraVision competition and what teachers can expect. Leif Segan, a veteran of the competition and a finalist from last year, shared his personal experience with entering teams in the competition while addressing the general guidelines for application and preparation. Miz Fischer from Toshiba assisted on the chat, and the participants were able to get all their questions answered.

Participating educators represented the states of California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont and Wisconsin.
