Dr. Randy Russell
Randy Russell is an Educational Designer with the Office of Education and Outreach
at the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colorado and
the Windows to the Universe project
(www.windows2universe.org)
at NESTA (National Earth Science Teachers Association). He holds a B.S. in astrophysics
from Michigan State University (MSU), an master's degree in aerospace engineering
from the University of Maryland, and Ph.D. in educational systems development (also
from MSU). He co-developed a series of online courses for educators called Climate
Discovery, offered through NCAR Online Education, and facilitates workshops for
science educator professional development on a range of Earth science and space
science topics.
Ms. Becca Hatheway
Becca Hatheway is an Educational Designer with the Office of Education and Outreach
at the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colorado. Ms.
Hatheway works to develop educational resources in K-12 Earth science education
and professional development resources for science educators. She holds an M. Ed.
in Science Education from Western Washington University and a B.A. from Colgate
University. Ms. Hatheway contributes to the Earth section of Windows to the Universe
(www.windows2universe.org).
She facilitates a series of online courses for educators called Climate Discovery,
offered through NCAR Online Education, and facilitates workshops for science educator
professional development on a variety of topics, including climate change, atmospheric
science, and ecosystems.
