Richard Bonnette
Richard Bonnette is a Consumer Safety Officer with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration
in the Division of Biotechnology and GRAS Notice Review. Richard has been with the
agency since 2003, working primarily on issues related to food ingredient and biotech
crop safety. Prior to joining the agency, Richard worked in quality assurance and
regulatory affairs positions in the food industry. Richard holds a BS degree in
Biological Science from the University of South Carolina and a MS degree from the
University of Florida in Food Science and Human Nutrition.
Beth Meyers
Beth Meyers joined FDA's Office of Cosmetics and Colors (OCAC) as a
writer-editor in 1999. Prior to that, she covered FDA regulatory news as
managing editor of two newsletters and contributing editor to a third,
edited peer-review materials on cancer research, and worked as a
substitute teacher in middle and high schools in California and
Maryland. Her current responsibilities as a writer-editor at FDA's
Office of Cosmetics and Colors involve maintaining Web page content for
the cosmetic and color additive programs, as well as responding to
inquiries from industry and consumers, including occasional questions
from youngsters working on science projects. Beth earned her B.A. in
English from the State University of New York at Albany, later pursuing
additional education and foreign language studies at California State
University at Northridge.
