The article describes how to obtain materials or a visit from the US Coast Guard Sea Partners program. The program focuses on safety and pollution control on the waters of the US and could be used in elementary or middle school - although it seems to have an upper elementary focus, it sounds like arrangements could be made to adjust to other grade levels. The contact website no longer leads to information but as of today this one will take you to their current site.

This article describes Sea Partners, an ocean ecology and maritime prevention program developed by the USCG for upper elementary students. This article describes what a visit from the Coast Guard did for the students. This article which seemed like a good partnership hit a dead end when searched for on the Internet. The article written over 10 years ago may not reflect a program that is still active.
