Game Time!by: Edmund Marek and Beverly Howell

Sharks and fishes is both a classic playground game and a lighthearted model to introduce second- to fourth-grade students to the concept of predation, or the relationships between a predator and its prey. This game has been incorporated in a learning cycle on predation. Not only are students learning about predation in a memorable way, the game is a "teacher-sanctioned" opportunity to move around during class while collecting data.

I am always looking for new outdoor games to teach the Food chain/ Web. this article used the ocean Food chain with sharks and fishes first . What Student doesn't want to be a Shark ? . The article gave ideas for follow up and graphing suggestions as well. . But the great part was all the other ideas of outdoor games to teach this Tek the article explained. I can't wait to try some of these out next year !
