If you want to explore how to develop collective sense making with your students Page Keeley takes you through a sequence of instructional strategies. Using small groups, "Is It A Rock' probe and the Frayer Model students continuously update the understanding of the ideas they discuss and uncover about what is a rock. This is capped with the whole class creating a class Frayer Model on what is a rock and each students completing their own reflections. A must read !
