This article focuses how the teacher can create effective classroom interactions. There are a lot of resources in the NSTA Connection www.nsta.org/SC1404. The author gives a few strategies in the article about creating effective classroom interactions. An activity on discussing ice (that has a frozen object in it) melting is used to illustrate how a teacher can evaluate her skills in classroom interactions.
