Journal ArticleDigital resources are stored online in your NSTA Library.

This column shows how to use discrepant events to confront misconceptions. This lesson incorporates several discrepant events that demonstrate Bernoulli’s principle to help students understand lift, one of the four forces of flight (lift, drag, thrust, and weight). This discrepant event can also be used to engage students in the disciplinary core idea MS-PS2-2 Motion and Stability: Forces and Interactions.
