After a weekend with no homework, a family decides to watch an educational program on PBS, Discovery channel or the Learning Channel. The family decided this would be a Saturday of learning that the whole family would engage in. This article describes what the family viewed that Saturday and what resulted from the day of family viewing. It is a wonderful insight of how parents can introduce informal learning by engaging in it with their own children.
