Effective assessment is integral to the three-dimensional learning and teaching needed to realize the vision set forth in the Framework for K–12 Science Education and the NGSS. Join NSTA for a virtual conference that explores the assessment of three-dimensional learning.
This four-hour experience opens with a general session by Heidi Schweingruber about the new report from the National Academy of Science, Engineering, and Medicine’s Board on Science Education regarding formative and summative classroom assessments. Participants then have the opportunity to join one self-selected breakout session, from three available, presented by Christopher Harris, Aneesha Badrinarayan, and Jill Wertheim. All sessions will be archived to allow all registered participants the opportunity to watch on-demand, at a later time. The last session will offer perspectives on the development of statewide assessments aligned to three-dimensional learning and some glimpses of what those new assessments may look like.
