The second of two web seminars on the topic of Food Safety and Nutrition was held on Thursday, May 31, 2007, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern time. The presenter was Crystal Rasnake, Nutritionist in the Office of Nutrition, Labeling, and Dietary Supplements in the Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition at the Food and Drug Administration. Ms. Rasnake talked about the percent daily value on the food label and the "Make Your Calories Count" interactive website that can be used in the classroom to teach about the food label.
