Pedagogical Practices

Successful learning is more apt to occur when students are engaged in discovering and building their own frameworks of knowledge. To meet this standard, teachers must design work that actively involves students in asking questions and finding answers. Teamwork in exploring relevant and important science is encouraged. This free selection contains articles that deal with the practice of teaching and learning. The Table of Contents, Introduction, and Index are also included in this free selection.

This book chapter provides some great ideas for engaging students in the learning process. Although this articles is written for the undergraduate college level, the ideas presented can be easily adapted to a high school or middle school class. This ideas presented in this selection are very easy to implement, but will surely inspire students to become more involved in the learning process. I look forward to trying some of these ideas out this year!
