This book chapter demonstrates how to incorporate a simple science activity that provides concrete experience to students in using a trade book to teach a scientific concept. It also uses simple materials in the illustration of the concept. I really like how the author points out what the right answer is eventhough the investigation does not exactly duplicate it.
